Meet Charles Johnstone, a self-taught photographer celebrated for his distinctive take on everyday surroundings. From urban basketball courts to gas stations and swimming pools, he has a knack for transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. In this project, he turned his lens towards Venice's quaint kiosks, unearthing the charm hidden within.
As the cinematographer, I documented Johnstone's creative journey in Italy, which resulted in a photo book and an insightful short film titled Remnants of Memory. I helped to shape the book's layout and illustrated a map highlighting each kiosk Johnstone photographed.
